YOUR TASKS:
- Researches; prepares and presents strategic initiatives both globally and nationally to develop; build and maintain sales opportunities for a specific core customer(s) and/.or within specific region; Supports, manages, retains and maintains current customers volume, profitability and market share through superior service and exceptional product line offerings. Recommends products that exceed customer needs.
- Creation and implementation of appropriate strategies and arrangements to achieve the short term and long term goals
- Primary liaison between global sister and headquarters; customer and internal teams responsible for product line management, sales and development of business. Coordinates and works with global account management, customer service, quality and engineering to resolve any product issues from customer concerns, complaints, problems at customer site. Interacts with customer to develop new tooling application that require MAPAL products
- Consults and manages all assigned accounts within core customer or product line to ensure MAPAL market share; profitability is maintained and increased. Maintains and submits required records, forms, reports to communicate needs, best practices amongst companies
- Key contact to optimization and manufacturing to resolve performance issues. Key contact for follow-up with customer to ensure problem is resolved. Prepares communication to ensure resolution of issues is broadcasted amongst global counterparts to eliminate repeat issues
- Globally, nationally, and individually develops, prepares pricing and selling strategy. Gathers and validates preliminary information, working with regional management to retain business and increase market volume
- Prepares forecasts and analyzes sales performance ensuring business plan is successful. Coordination of the sales process (Inc global) as well as global service support and relationship management. This coordination also includes global price list management
- Manages, administers and ensures all proposals and quotes are accurate and in accordance with all MAPAL Inc. procedures and policies including all documentation. Prepares or ensures risk management process is followed and documented appropriately
- Additional responsibilities as needs present
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering is required; Understanding of CAM and CAD through coursework or substantial work experience; Experience equivalent to the successful completion of a Machinist apprenticeship program or similar practical experience in a related field
- Exceptional Active listening, Presentation skills, Verbal and written communication and Problem Solving methodology.
- Exceptional and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
- Ability to think and operate at both strategic and tactical levels; Building strong, proactive relationships
- High level of equal emotional intelligence and intellectual ability
- 5-7 years progressive sales experience within the precision tooling industry with a proven success record of increased volume, business and relationship building.
- Demonstrated ability to create a global account matrix internally within MAPAL. Matrix to include verbal communication and quarterly team updates to global counterparts
- Strong work ethic; Self-motivated; independent and capable to make decisions
- Consultative and solutions oriented. Strong, executive presence and ability maintain calm demeanor in high stress environments
- Willingness to travel to business units, customer base and globally
