YOUR TASKS:
- Serves as Project Manager ensuring all documentation including open issues, project plans are complete and in accordance with all policies and procedures. Follow-up and follow through with appropriate departments and employees. Manages projects with both internal and external deadlines and changing time constraints
- Consider, determine and recommend best designs for customer and pricing. Design concepts for customers' process for all product lines. Ensures designs are state of the art in terms of efficiency, performance, manufacture, and cost effectiveness. Responsible for resolving any and all isssues with processes or development prior to manufacturing release
- Analyze customer requirements for producing parts (quality of holes or surfaces; SPC requirements and tolerances) and create proposal drawings based on RFQ. Revises and documents all changes to existing and new product designs. Supports Operations by reviewing, recommending and troubleshooting issues related to production runs
- Manages, administers and ensures all proposals and quotes are accurate and in accordance with all MAPAL Inc procedures and policies including all documentation
- Prepares or ensures risk management process is followed and documented appropriately.
- Works with cross functional engineering team, customer service, sales and manufacturing to develop tooling and bring into reality new, innovative product designs
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Design, Industrial Technology or equivalent experience Proficient skills in PRO E, Solidworks,, Auto Cad, Knowledge of general business methods and requirements
- 3-5 years progressive tooling design experience Demonstrated experience with metal cutting principles: power, thrust, balance, microfinishes, geometries. Sales and or customer support
- Strong work ethic; Self-motivated; independent and capable to make decisions
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Exceptional presentation skills (both behavioral and utilization of presentation software)
- High energy level with excellent verbal and written communication skills
