Customer Service - (CS_Internal Sales)




DME, BE Mechanical Engineering, Automobile, Production, Electrical 


12 to 15 years of experience in the engineering industry and a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in customer service department.




35-40 Years

Scope of Position and General requirements:

  • This position is for enabling the Internal Sales team handling customer enquiries and submitting proposals on time and converting opportunity to Orders.
  • Ensuring customers satisfaction, supervising and managing the customer service team, training staff members to provide the highest standards of customer service.

Key result areas

  •  Review the daily in-warded enquiries, allot to the right team member in his team with clearly set requirements and timeline.
  • Price calculation and price verification. 
  • Commercial Administration in coordination with Sales, CS-Technical, Design, PPC, Production, Material Management & etc., Enquiry and Quotation Management.
  • Coordinate with field engineers & Customers for all the details required to process the enquiry.
  • Ensuring on time submission of quotation.
  • Follow-up and conclude orders with field engineers & customers.
  • Ensure order confirmation sent on time with accuracy.
  • Planning of semi-finished goods and critical raw materials/spares.
  • Ensuring on time delivery of material/service to customer.
  • Preparing MIS reports.
  • Improve customer service process constantly by setting policies and standards.


Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to co-ordinate with customers, suppliers with fluency in English and Hindi preferably
  • Proficiency in documentation.
  • Good planning skills and delegating skills
  • Effective in follow up and follow thru technique, establish the right follow mechanism
  • Good collaborative skills with team and other related functional departments
  • Negotiation skills to convince customer
  • Strong leadership skills and people management skills
  • Proactive and initiative taker
  • Should be a problem solver and good in conflict management.
  • Hands on working knowledge in SAP - SA - SD Module, MM Module, MS Office, and Emails
